There are plenty of Justice League characters that could have been included in this game.
Mortal Kombat 3, which came out in the same year as this game, had 15 playable characters. Super Street Fighter II, which came out the previous year, boasted a roster of 16 playable characters. With only nine playable characters, this roster looks small especially compared to the other fighting games released during this period. This is where we see the first problem of Justice League Task Force. The Roster of Playable Heroes and Villains Finally, there is a Versus Mode where you can battle your friends using all of the nine fighters in the game. The game also has a Battle Mode which is the same as Story Mode, except that it doesn’t have the story dialogues and you can choose to play as one of the three villain characters that are part of the roster. You can also play as villains in Battle and Versus mode.
